Day 435

Ten weeks after Sprout moved in, Bill and June were able to apply to the court for their adoption order. The process was straightforward: a simple form asking for basic information about the adoptive parents, along with the court fee. Once submitted, the paperwork was passed to the social workers to complete the remaining steps.

Day 566

It's been a long time since the application was made, but on day 566 the adoption order was granted.

All that remains is the 21 day appeal window, followed by a Celebration hearing (also known as an adoption visit) with the Judge.
